I was caught out by the stormy weather last night & I had a wet and windy spin home covered 100km finishing about 11pm,
the streetguard gortex was good ,warm, but got very heavy as it got wetter
the system 5 helmet was great with ant-imist visor but I still had to leave it a little open to keep safe and I will be looking for a more effective water repellent to put on visor,
my necktube/face-mask was essential and my disposible earplugs seemed to fit and work better damp......
the proper boots and winter gloves were great .. also backprotector gave a wee bit of comfort and warmth... god them heated grips are luverly
.....
I was fully kitted and so glad of it
anyway ....while whizzing along, at night, in a storm, with a bus nearly up my jacks .... I start to get fixated for more than half the journey with my tyre-pressure guage and my mirror getting loose...
tyre pressure never bothered me before when I didn't have a guage I would trust my daily checks....
My thoughts as Im riding past these cheesewire barriers on a wet windy night...
I'm thinking what happens if ....if I suddenly loose pressure, if I start a wobble ,if big gust of wind is going to get me....theres too much of a difference between readings and and and ... its amazing what flashes through your head on some trips,..
gsa shows 2.1 front and 2.7 rear.. Ithink this is bar pressure
the readings then increase by 0.1 as journey increases
Is the difference of 0.6 in front & rear pressure is that important ??
Whats advised ..
I was told 2.5 / 2.7 is best
I felt fecking great when I got home safe so chilaxed....
I felt I'd been somewhere and done something know what I mean .
