I've got a 2009 1200 GSA. A couple of months ago I took it for a ride and one of the tyre pressure readouts was flashing while the other was okay. Since then, either the front or rear tyre pressure readout flashes whenever I take the bike out, like the sensor can't measure the tyre pressure accurately. Is this a common problem? The sensors can't be fekked because they take it in turns to work :blast. Or maybe they are fekked? Is it possible to reset the sensors? Had a look in the owner's manual and it doesn't mention flashing readouts - or if it does, I missed that page!

Thats useful. Thanks.

Filed a copy.

(Tyre pressure sensors made just up the road from you, in Owens Road - Beru or Bf1 as they are now known).

I had a 2010 with 18k and the sensors were doing something similar. Under warantee, got them changed. They also had to change the sending sensor. Tyres on and off a couple of times until they fixed it.
Took about 4 hours. Very glad for warantee.
Just saying, it may be more than just the sensors in the tyre.

Mine read intermittently from either end so need new batteries. I just need to get some suitable electronics grade silicone and do the job. Solder tagged batteries are available on eBay.

Sent somehow.

I know the place, when mine give up I may go and have a rummage through there bins :D

They were (maybe still are) part of the VolkswagenAudi Group. We were making the circuit boards/ECU assembly for them for a Lamborgini (also part of the VAG) group) fitment.

If you turn up on a WMB they might tell you to jog on:D

Thanks chaps. Service due soon so I'll get the batteries replaced then hopefully.

BMW don't replace the batteries. The old sensors are simply chucked out. And they'll charge who-knows-what to remove and refit the tyres.
Look on YouTube for sensor battery instructions

I saw my sensor failing the other day and came back up on its own, I figured it was some kind of miscommunication with the sensor but battery sounds more like the culprit.

Thank you for the doc, very useful. I'll keep it in hand for the future should it keep failing.

Cheers,
Rami
