I've just fitted a Bridgestone 021 rear to replace an 020. I obviously still have an 020 on the front (no 021 available yet).
Any way i'll get to the point...I've always run the 020's at 32 psi front and 36psi rear. Now i know thats what the manual recommends.....However Bridgestone recommend 36 psi front 42 psi rear for this combination of tyre...
Correct me if i'm wrong but my theory is that Bm recommend those pressures because the OE tyres are dual purpose and hence run at a lower PSI.
Anyway i've tried the tyre's at the higher PSI and so far so good....Not many miles yet but i've got to say they do feel more stable....
Apologies it's taken so much text to get my question/theory across!!
