Tyre pressures.

In the R1150GS handbook tyre pressures are given as follows:

Solo Front 2.2 bar, Rear 2.5 bar
Two-up Front 2.5 bar, Rear 2.7 bar
Two-up with luggage Front 2.5 bar, Rear 2.9 bar

On the Metzeler web site pressures are just given as:

Front 2.5 bar, Rear 2.9 bar

The bike has standard Tourances and a 16.5 stone (what do you expect being called WIDELOAD) rider...

Tyre Pressures

I usually ride solo with luggage and keep the pressures at 2.5/2.7.

With a passenger I go up to 2.7/2.9.

Michelin tyres and 12 stone rider.

I find that front tyre pressure is more critical than rear.

usually i use front 2.3 rear 2.7 with passenger and bags

i used tourance and scorpion, same pressure

scorpion have more grip on the front wheel...

i drive on alpine passes usually and my tyres have to work very hard...
