Tyre Recommendations for R1150GS

I've now put a few hundred miles on the Conti TA3s so can share my initial thoughts:

1) As predicted based on Conti's "sticky from new" (I forget what hyped-up marketing name they actually use) technology the tyres were pretty-much broken in from the moment I put the wheels on the bike, so no long wait to enjoy them;

2) They do indeed seem to warm up pretty quickly, as claimed, although I've not pushed that limit because I don't need to risk it within 60 seconds of home (and I like my rocker covers as they are);

3) They don't overheat even after a 100 mile run 2 up in temperatures of 30C, so that's good;

4) They definitely inspire confidence cornering on dry tarmac, to the point that I've already reached the limit of the rear tread turning right (i.e. roundabouts) which never felt as comfortable on the old Metzeler Tourance;

5) Having tried some gravel too the rear end feels a little looser than on Tourance, but also friendly and easily controlled and certainly not causing me any concern;

I have yet to experience the Conti TA3s on wet tarmac, but current impression is that I'm very happy with my purchase, grateful to those here who took the time to advise me, and would recommend these tyres to others with similar needs to me.

Morning everyone.

I was about to buy my next set of Tourance tyres for the 1150GS but came across this thread.

What kind of mileage are people getting from the Conti TA3s please?
