Hi folks
Got up this morning looking forward to a nice ride out, pushed the GS1150 off the centerstand and thought that the bike was a couple of inches shorter than normal - back tyre flat as a flat thing. What a waste of a good day! :(

So I'm looking for a reccomendation for a tyre fitter in the Dunstable/Leighton Buzzard area (Herts / Beds & Bucks). Ideally I'd like a mobile service to come to me as the tyre has next to no tread and needs replacing not repairing.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Many thanks in advance.

Rod. :(

Universal tyres, Dunstable. Near the Plum Centre. I think they are part of Watling Street Tyres though they are not open Sunday. I think they are wholesalers as well so always carry a big stock
Tel 01582666761.
They will take the wheel off if you get the bike there. So try pumping it up and see how long it stays up. It's also a great chance to try the puncture repair kit.
Good Luck

Bedford Wheels

Highly recommend Bedford Wheels, College Street, Kempston (01234) 216662. Phil Collins (No, not him) owns it, is a bike fanatic himself and isn't out to rip you off. Maybe slightly further than you intend to go, but he's worth it.

Good luck and happy riding again soon.

Thanks

Thank Guys :beerjug:

I'll give them both a call tomorrow - both are within range of a bike with a slow puncture (I think / hope)

I've already got experience of the puncture repair kit - on my old VFR750 - I pushed so hard to get the plug in the hole in the rear tyre that I pushed the bike off the centre stand - oops! I learned that there is no way of stopping the bike going over when you start from a crouching position behind the bike!
