Tyreleader - AV Superbikes Livingston

Time for a new set of tyres - fancied the PR4 Trial and usually use Strathern Tyres in Crieff but they are quoting £243 fitted. Tourance Nexts £195 though (which i might end up going with).

Tyreleader have the PR4's at £175 delivered but fitting (£30.00) by AV Superbikes in Livingston who I've never heard of. Google street view indicates a residential address so I'm assuming a mobile tyre fitter? Anyone used these or know anything about them - AV Superbikes that is.

Go with the PR's...well worth the extra 50 quid IMHO, cant rate them highly enough....I paid about the same from Barnstormers

And just to confuse things I'm going to say save yourself the hassle and a few quid by going with the Tourance Next. There's nothing in it between all these tyres on a GS so why bother over thinking it?

I'm at the same point. Just over 3K miles on the current Anakee 3's and they're shot. I spoke to Saltire Suzuki / Yamaha in Edinburgh last week and they said they'd be happy to fit tyres bought elsewhere onto loose wheels or ride-in, ride-out.

Having said that, even although the owner of Saltire is a friend, I might just take a bimble up to Crieff and get a pair of PR4 Trails this week.

I'm a wee bit suprised as well, Symon. I've always got 4.5K out of a set of GS tyres before and VFR ones come to that. Maybe it's a case of having 125 bhp rather than 100 ish.

Schtum, just spoke with them again and 120/70R19 60V TRAIL & 170/60R17 72V TRAIL fitted for £225.00 so always worth a haggle! So going for these now instead of the Metzlers.

As I discovered when Jim at Strathearn quoted me £225 on the phone this afternoon. I bimbled up there on my knackered Anakees and got the one pair of PR 4 Trail which he had in stock fitted..

You might need to ask him when he can get another set.... .
