Tyres and MOT Wirral

Hi All, I need a new rear tyre (michelin PR2 180) and MOT before my trip to France in April, any recommendations on tyre fitter and MOT center in Wirral.

Best quote ive had for the tyre is £130 from tst in Warrington, i'd need to take the wheel to them.

Buckley Tyres will point out any chips on your rims before they start any work just to let you know they didn't chip 'em & they do take care when fitting. For that reason alone I always take my bike wheels there. You can ride in & they'll take the wheels off for you but that's extra.

Don't take loose tyres in though & ask them to fit them - they charge well over the odds for that!

+ 1 for Buckley Tyres, I live 2 mins from there, but I have mates that travel over 40 miles to use them. I always found that they will match any quote you've had, but they are normaly as cheap as you can find. They even beat the internet supply only price for me once.

For the MOT True Bikes in Neston, he's a Triumph man, but a bikes a bike to him. He takes the bike somewhere for the test, but if you looking for a "drop off and just pick it up when it's done" job, he does good work and is quite cheap.

Yup, John at True Bikes also fits tyres...proper one man bike shop ( he preps them and takes them around the corner for the MOT ).

+1 for Buckley Tyres who I have been going to for 10 years+ and/or John at Truebikes who looked after my Triumph Sprint for 6 years and fitted tyres when the need coincided with service.

Sorry I`ve come into this a bit late but I use Frank Bather for tyres...have done for over 25 years,with no complaints.

For MOT`s I mostly use Seabank M/C`s on Seabank Road or SRT.
