In answer to the old question how long does a tyre last and how much can you do to a tank....
I have been living and commuting in Belgium with my GS for the last four years.
25000 KM to a back tyre and it was still legal...
400KM to a tank.....
Since living on the south west coast of ireland where the roads are (er) a little different Can't get 300KM to a tank and the back tyre is almost shaaaagggged at 6000KM....
Great fun though... rarely get into fourth let alone fifth.
