Tyres - are they to blame?

I got 10k from my rear Tourance, the front has done nearly 17k, I expect to replace it along with the rear at around 20k.I do a lot of Motorway & A road mileage with some on Peak District back roads & green lanes, never had a problem wet or dry. I didn't think I was being gentle, love to chuck it about.

my Tourances on the adv and R100GS seem to be very good all round. They behave strangely when you bend the wheel though - bit disappointed about that!

Back slides out very slightly every now and again, but nothing scary.

to be honest after following people like MrTickle on TKC80s in the Picos or a mate over here I think you can pretty much get away with anything if you want to.

My only real complaint is that thay are very slippery when parked (twice now).

trailwings were a complete liability in the wet, the tourance ok, at least they give you some warning that you are getting there, but the new 020's are the dogs bollox.
about 1500 miles on them now, completly different feel, much more confidence in the front wheel under braking and in the wet.
