Nutty can you confirm the Anakees are the ones that come with the GSA, new, and it's OK to fit the mudsling they are just noisy but don't catch the tyre?
Thanks
Yep, the GS & GSA all come with Anakees. No issues with the mudsling.

So, I've read a few very good reviews on the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II.
Will these fit with the mudsling?
I know they are a 90/10 bias, but from reading reviews on other tyres, it seems that a compromise may have to be made.

They fit my 2013 LC (GS not GSA) with a Mudsling. I'm happy with them as tyres after (a) reading the decent reviews and (b) finding they were ~£50 the pair cheaper than TA2s when I wanted new tyres in the spring.
Those were the tyres on my GS LC when I contacted MachineArt.
I had one of the first LC GS's before the mudsling was available, and wouldn't have a GS without one now. The peppering from stones on the final drive was terrible.![]()
TK70s, on my second set with mudsling no problems. They are superb tyres, I like them better than any others I have used.
Not such that I have noticed, all in all, I am quite happy with them. Are they noisy at all?
So, after deciding on Avon Trailriders for my new GSA, it turns out that they won't fit with the mudsling, without modification, so what tyres will fit on a GSA with a Mudsling fitted?
I've ruled out the following:
Anakee 3 - Too loud
PR4 - Too susceptible to punctures, and shite on anything other than tarmac
What other options are there? Ideally, I'd like an 80/20 tyre that is good at high speed on the road, and able to handle the odd green lane/ fire road (waitrose carpark).
problem will disappear.I have a 2015 GSA and have the avons fitted with the mudsling and although there's not a lot of room it is not making contact. As others have already said the Avon trailriders are fantastic tyres.
Just to note my factory lowered MU 2016 GSA was getting serviced today and new Avon Trailriders fitted. I gave the dealer the heads up that there may be a problem as I have a mudsling fitted. Just taken a call from the dealer to say the rear fitted without problem clearance wise. The Mudsling is the same one that I had fitted to my MU WC 2013 GS.

IIRC someone here said it fits ok when on the centre stand, but tends to rub when riding.![]()
