Hi there, has anyone experienced their Tourance tyres cracking up around the edges? I seem to recall a thread on this subject a while back, but can't find it anymore. My local dealer says that this is a first for them and where I get my rubber said that he has seen similar faults on Bridgestones. After a phone call to Metzeler ( who also professed to nothing of this condition ) I have returned the tyre to the factory for them to inspect and hopefully get a refund. My original front tyre managed 13k before cracks started appearing and I wouldn't mind but this one's only got 6k on it. Your thoughts please.

I have ridden on Tourances and Enduro 4's for 3-4 yrs and seem to recall tiny cracks and marks as they age (will go and check mine now), but it never causes me a problem to the best of my knowledge.
I have never had any major de-lamination with Metzeler tyres, the grip they give is A1

Long life tyres

How on earth do you make your tyres last long enough for them to develope cracks?
If I ride like a pussy I can just about get 6k from a pair of tourances.
Abraisive scottish roads maybe?

I've just had to replace my front Tourance because of cracking, which was spotted by the MOT geezer, although not a fail. He said that he would be reluctant to ride on a tyre like that, although he couldn't sell me a new one.
About 1/3 worn I guess, but was on the bike when I bought it so can't be certain.
