I have found Scorpion Tyres just North of Dundee. Anybody used him? £223 for a pair, fitted, balanced & new valves to loose wheels. A little high, but convenient(ish).

You could ask John Clark in Dundee for a quote.
Yes, I DO work for them. However, one customer whose bike I delivered back to him on Friday, with a pair of Tourances fitted by JCT, told me they'd cost him only about £200 - he thought he'd got a good deal.
It may have been a good price because he'd had a service at the same time, though, but a quote is only going to cost you the price of a phone call.

D.M. Motorcycle tyres in Dundee - George Morton runs this from his house in Dundee - I use him to fit my Michelin Anakee's (free from my work
) - phone him on 07805512116 anytime.
Also, Murray Motorcycles (near Michelin factory in Dundee) Tel 01382778009

Spoke to Brian Malcolm at Clarks last week reference the same. They are offering a special on a pair of tourances of £199 fitted and balanced. Extra tenner if you want the EXPs.
My back one will just about get me to Dundee at the tail end of the week, I checked a few other sources and they couldn't touch this deal.
I was really surprised as I thought they would be dear.

Well, after phoning round a few places I opted for Scorpion Tyres in Baldovie.
Euan is a really nice guy and takes great care to fit and balance the tyres/wheels on professional equipment. He works from home but has all the gear. Free cuppa and choccy biccy too.
Price was £222 for a pair of Tourances. Not the cheapest, but I would definitely go back.

Glad you got a good deal Glynn. I advised you to go to Clarks in Dundee but i'm glad you didn't.
I went in yesterday as I was quoted £209 for EXP tyres fitted. I had them done and was handed a bill for £265. I was not happy and they brought it down to £240, I was pushed for time as my wee boy phoned me and told me that he had a leg injury and I had to go staight to hospital as he was being taken there.
To say I am pissed off is an understatement as in the last 3 months have spent a fortune with them. I am taking it up with them on Monday.
I will let you all know how I get on as it could be some other tosser getting shafted next time.

Free Gloves
Was contacted last night by Clarks customer services, told them how I felt I had been ripped off and misled about the tyres.
Today I got a phonecall from the Tayside branch who told me that they were giving me a pair of GS gloves for free and I got an apology regarding the poor service they gave me.
Happy with the outcome but will get written quotes in the future.

This thread led me to Scorpion Tyres tonight. Took loose wheels and new tyres down to Euan at 7pm collected at 9pm. Great service, good price. Recommended.
Geordie at DM tyres gives good service, quite happy to do them at unsociable hours too.
Always a cup of tea on the go too.

john mitchell motors in laurencekirk. i got a good price fitted for pr3s ride in ride out. he will also fit to loose wheels and will balance as well.
