Searched and got the feeling I need pr4
Reviews please I have read some reviews but not so many on gs1200 ad
Many thanks

You didn't see this 16 page thread on the PR4? Tyres have been discussed to death here but you just have to search for it

PR4s get a bad rap on here due to many punctures.

I went for Tourance Next and very happy so far, done 2500 miles.

One other thing I found was not all tyres are available when you try buying them.

Don't worry about punctures I had my only GS puncture on tourance. PR4s are off the scale for me, 100 percent trust wet or dry, seemed to improved ride comfort, but it's a personal thing.

Yes read loads and loads and seems very confusing as so many choices!
apart from punctures they seem good but lots still seem to say not so good in wet.
I was hoping for some clarity on them .

i have never heard anyone say pr4 is bad in the wet?,they are the dogs in the wet

Agree. I had them in my Blackbird (very different to the GSA I know) but the PR4's were great in the dry and best I have ever used in the wet.

My GSA LC still has the Anakee 3's that it was delivered with. 6000 miles and about ready for a change. I think the Anakee's have been very decent but when I chop them in what I go for will depend on what is available...may give the Karoo 3's a go, or the TKC 70's

I've had the PR4's on my LC GSA for the past 6000km, no issues at all and no punctures either, great in the dry and the wet.

I have the trail version on the front and the GT version on the rear, they appear to be about half worn now.

I'll happily have them again.

Since the Anakee3 are "out of stock everywhere .... is it foolish to mix a new PR4 rear with 40% worn AK3 front ? Curious.

Am I missing something

Isn't it down to how fast and hard you ride !!!

All the tyres do a good job or they wouldn't exist

Yes I like PR4... And they give great confidence ... But I will ride on anything and just adjust my riding to suit

Just saying :thumb

PR4's fine in the dry but rear goosed after less than 4000 miles ,utterly crap on wet greasy roads

I reckon on 4,500-5,000m from the rear, on a variety of roads. No squaring-off due to the mix of roads ridden. The best I've achieved from Tourance (original/German) was 6,000m. A good trade-off considering the better handling and grip of the PR4

Not sure if there is a "good" tyre for greasy roads.
