Tyres GSA

Got a tourance exp back tyre delivered from RPM in Louth for €119 last week!

Now that I'm finished the off-roading for the summer TKC 80s are coming off and PR4's are going in. Have tried Anakee 3 and Tourance and tourance next. None of them give me any confidence on anything more than a gravel driveway so reckon I might as well have 15Km road tyres rather then the 7-8km I got from the dual sports.

Can recommend Robbie in Kimmage and Cotters in Ballymount. Have used them both. Cotters a shade dearer but have stock. Michelin offering €30 cash back on a set this month so I think fitted PR4s will be €290.

If you're in ashbourne and don't want to travel far, buy your tyres in Crossans up north, get them sent down and get Dave in GP Motos in finglas to fit them, he's across from Aldi in finglas.
Personally, I'd get anything done by Robbie in Mototechnic, but most people can handle fitting tyres

I have been the greatest fan of the Tourance, but last year got a set of Tourance Next. Proper Road tyre for the GS.

Just clocked up 4K miles and am gonna change for same again. Still road legal, but getting a bit square at the back.

Tyres have been fantastic wet and dry.

Why not take a day out to Belfast. Michael at Hurst tyres knocking them out just over £200 sterling (fitted),

but Metzeler offering a £30 refund if your bike has a current MOT. (I'm sure the Southern equivalent is likely to qualify too)

Know at least one member on here who has availed of it. Sadly my GSA not due it's first MOT till November, so no cahback for me.

Had Tourance EXP on the 1200 Tenere as stock fitted. Great tyre. Got the NEXT iftted recently, even better grip. Ive taken the hero blobs out and scuffed a couple of toe sliders. Wet performance as good.

Metz NEXT all the way.

I will be away most of the next 2 weeks but when I get back I will book the bike in with you to get the tyres fitted.
I have just had a set of pilot road 4 fitted on my GSA
I've done 1k on them now and I'm well impressed, super grip, great feel
thanks mark!!

Big up to Mark in Platinum. Fitted my tyres, changed final drive oil and a few other bits and pieces while I relaxed on his couch playing with his dogs and drinking his coffee. Reminded me of being a kid years ago where you could drop into the local barber not to get your hair cut but just to hear the banter and watch others work. Get another couch Mark and others can drop in for a coffee to escape the world for an hour. We all need a sanctuary from time to time.
