Looking for a set of tyres for a 1200GSA in Ireland, the nearer to Dublin the better. Anyone out there give me a suggestion on what type of road tyres ( bike won't be going down lanes etc) I should fit and how much I am likely to pay including fitting.

Can't help with location, but I have tourances on mine. Furthest I go off road is Tesco!!!..

They are great on the road..dry..wet...wouldn't have anything else....but that's just me.

Stupid question but here goes anyway, whats the point in having a GSA if you don't do green laning, suggesting Annakee 3's

Anyone using them?

I had a GSA for 2 reasons because I liked it an because I liked it. Never went off road but I loved the comfort and road holding as I ride all year round hail rain snow or shine or ice. I loved not having to fill up every 2nd or 3 rd day and I would still have one if I could afford one. I now have a f800gsa and cannot fault it or it's 330 mile range. I realise you asked Marcopol but I could not resist why do we allow ourselves to be pigeon holed? JJH

Robbie in mototechnics in kimmage, Dublin did mine for me last year. Tourances€265:thumb very friendly, great service:clap

Having tried just about every dual-sport tyre (80/20) for a GSA in the last ten years I reckon the best two are (original) Tourances or Trail Attack 2's. If you've no intention of going off road I'd plum for the Trail Attacks. That said, if you're not going off road at all then a sports tyre would probably be a better bet - but I don't do those!:augie

Well said that man.

€295 fitted, hopefully drop a few quid when they aren't so new, but easily a 15k km set of Tyres!! Unreal grip too!

2 good reasons JJH, took an 800gsa for a test ride for the 2nd reason recently, thought twas heavy enough, standard 800 with an auxiliary might be a another option, that or a Triumph 800xc with extra tank, anyway this is about tyres, ive PR4's on my 1200 Explorer and probably wont be going back after having a few sets of PR3's before the 4's, going to try Anakee 3's next time, they feel great on my 650 Dakar

Tourance Next

Not quite a dualsport tyre but I love it on the road. And we've done quite a bit of gravel these last 2 weeks without issues. Give 'em a good thrashing Bryn :bounce1

Anakee 3

If you don't green lane then it's simples, Pilot Road 4

If you green lane, then it's simples, Anakee 3's

Anakee 3 - Anakee Impressed on road trip from UK back to Crete. Not impressed on dirt and gravel roads of
Crete, thought the Anakee 2 were better possibly because they had more of a block tread
