Tyres (no doubt yet again!)

What's fitting them got to do with complaining about noisy tyres ?
The point is that the Anakee tyres, in my opinion, what with them being fitted on my bike, generate a considerable amount of road noise, for which I am looking to reduce. You stated that you have not had them fitted and therefore you cannot make a qualified comment (in my opinion) on whether they are a noisy tyre or not. Yes, bikes produce noise from exhausts etc which is part of biking but these tyres are not part of an enjoyable noise for either myself or my pillion.

I have never ridden a bike with Anakee tyres, but I find it amazing people complaining about them being noisy. It's a motorbike, there is supposed to be noise. Do people change the end can for an aftermarket akrapovic [other cans also available] then complain about the tyres being noisy ? Get on with it. Turn the music up in your helmet if you have to.
Believe me, if you’ve a few hours to do on a motorway and a tyre howls like Anakee 3s can, you’d understand the comments.

OE Anakees were horrible and noisy. TA3 now fitted and a significant improvement.
Looks like I will stay away from Anakees. My bike came with Dunlop Mission Trailmax tyres. I have done 9k miles on them and can't fault them. I don't know what to get when they go. They might outlive me the way they are lasting 😂

The GS is well known for funnelling road noise up through the steering tunnel. Any tire with tread that crosses the centre line are going to be noisy. Non adv tires with a centre line on the front will be the quietest.

Have just fitted rear Pirelli Angel GT2 to the GS 1250, bit of effort to get tyre on at Tyre shop. First two rides the tyre seems to suit the bike very well seems to roll nicely into the corner and very stable all on dry road. Not tried in wet yet.

On PR6 and have no issues. I also liked the Pirelli Trail II on my Multistrada pikes peak.
