Tyres that can handle mud & wet grass

I have Michelin Anakee Wild on my G650Xco. Very good on and off road - its not a sportsbike so doesn't lean at over 50 degrees, and the Anakee wilds are very good wet and dry providing you ride 'sensibly'. Off road good on all surfaces, best deflated a bit if you go into 'gloopy' mud, regular damp muddy tracks all fine. Superb on rocky tarils, Wet grass OK but you have to be progressive on the throttle. They describe them as 50/50 and I use probably 80% on road. Front did feel a bit 'odd' at first as its slightly wider profile than the original (Michelin 110/80 x 19, original 100/90 x 19), but now feels fine after a few months. Wear rate seems good.

Thanks all, plenty of food for thought there. Anything from full-on knobblies to something that looks like race wets!

I’ll be laying a gravel path to the workshop as soon as I can, so no need for a second set of wheels with mud tyres just for crossing the lawn. I fancy a change from the Tourance, I’ll let you know what I end up with.
As BHT has said many have ridden for years on the off road biased ones... I used Mitas for a couple of years and as long as you change you style a bit you can have a lot of fun... Don't go into. Corners expecting road tyres bite and drive out hard...👍😁 You'll never aquaplane that's fer sure...😆 Fun, just different....

You'd be fine with TKC-80's which are great for your application.

A decent alternative would be Mitas E07's which are a terrific all round tyre.

TKC80‘s are what you need…. despite their aggressive looks the only place you will have a problem with them is wet manhole covers.

Oh and it’s 1150GS not GS1150 :thumb :D
There aren’t many manhole covers in these parts, so I should be fine. Thanks, they’re more knobbly than I was thinking but I guess I could go riding through the fields 😃 (on my G1150S)

Good man, they will feel odd the first time you ride on them but you will soon get to love them on your R1150GS :D

if the grassy bit near the workshop is the main thing limiting you from using regular 70/30 tires you could soften the tires and carry a mini-compressor to re-inflate once you are past it.

might be the simplest solution.
