Tyres that *look* like a knobbly but perform like a road tyre...

TCK70's ?
(edit) I really should read the other posts!!

Just buy a Triumph scrambler..;-)

TKC 80s perform well and look knobbly (because they are).

If you don't fancy them get the 70s.

If you are too frightened to ride properly on knobblies, ride slowly or don't fit knobblies.

You are challenging his manly hooning, in direct contravention of the Bikers' Charter, sub section 3, addendum 7 as ratified by the Great Council of Stretford 1963, later reconfirmed by the Bonkers Bash 1999, though some called this into dispute as there was rumoured to be a girl present, which rendered it a non-Bash and as such ineligible. This lead to the great schism until reconciliation brought about harmony, with just a little moaning.

So reading between the lines, the TKC70 seems to fit the bill quite well. Thanks to all those who made decent suggestions, they've given me a few tyres to look at. :thumb2

For fuck's sake, just buy the tyres that best fit the look, presence and 'ownership experience' that you think will suit you best.

* Chojin sounds like a slant anyway, so you'll be away at the laces.

Just noticed the ninja edit. Glad to see casual racism is alive and well.

Are the rest of your 37,493 posts as endearing?

Quality post, posts like this and it's too hot to ride at 28 degrees make it worth the subscription alone..........

As a real biker, rest assured I shall:

1. Ensure said tyre is fully attached by virtue of toe poke.

2. Look cool in the process.

3. Update my profile pic to something that makes me look like a complete nobhead whilst applying my own unique brand of false bravado across random threads in effort to win affection from virtual compatriots.

Congrats. You win the internet.

As I've found out on here, the problem with a more knobbly looking tyre is that they will rub the mudsling, so a compromise has to be made somewhere.

chojin.

This forum has a large number of condescending members who like to belittle anyone who do not fit their idea of a biker/human.

Quite a few of them are intelligent human beings. But some are just complete knobs.

You do get used to them, once you can see through their little ways.

Just don't think that there is a ' live and let live' attitude around these parts.

Enjoy.

See now they look the part! Although i've never had Pirellis before... Always had Michelin for my onroad bikes and Maxxis tyres for my offroad bikes.

I don't think they do them in LC GS sizes
