U Clear BT Intercom

Hi folks,
Been a member for a few months now, found the site to be a wealth of valuable information, to which I thank you all.

Having been to the bike show recently, I was tempted enough to purchase a uClear intercom. Having now fitted to the helmets and had a brief trial just around the house, initial thoughts are very good. Obviously need to try out on the road yet etc but wondered if anyone else has any experience of the kit?

The big selling point for me was the boom less mic feature that won major points with Swmbo.
Having been a long time autocom user I have always been a little nervous about making the change to BT but looking forward to the trials out on the road with the new system.
It's not your full on Sena kit but I think it is a good compromise for the overall cost against feature.

Friend of mine has had a uClear system for a while and rates it very highly, as you say the lack of a boom for the mic is a big plus, particularly with flip front helmets.

We spoke to the guys at the show but they as they were the manufacturer they couldn't go below their RRP prices (£207). So while we sat down for a cup of coffee I made use of the free wi-fi and found the uClear at Amazon for £185 and they has a wharehouse "used" one for £157 - so I bought that there and then. Arrived two days later and is in perfect "as new" condition, just have to fit it now.

Looks like you landed a good deal, keep us updated on your thoughts whilst in use, may turn out to be an alternative to the norm....
