It's been along time since the U.D.M.C last had a trail ride together 10 months to be exact
So Sunday morning we met up a 8.30 am
It was dry but cold but we new we'd soon warm up when we hit the trails .
You won't find any new bling enduro bikes here you don't need them as we'll prove later
Me Dr350 ,Dibble XR400 ,Tarby Husky 410 ,Big Gav XL600 ,Buzza DR600.
The Sun was still rising behind the hills .
We met up with another big group of riders on a fine BLING selection of enduro and MX bikes
We were all heading the same way so we rode for together for the next few miles
First bit a technical hill climb
Lets see these modern machines in action.

You've got to watch out for hidden ditches
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PFGnpiV_UeA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PFGnpiV_UeA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
We split up into to 2 groups for the next few miles the UDMC taking the harder route

Looks can be deceiving ?
Then it was onto to the "Motorway"
a 1/2 mile section of peat bog and drainage ditches stop and your stuck
We met up with the others here.
I sneaked off before everyone else and luckily made it through
But some of the others weren't so lucky

Closer look
After a long rest we went our seperate ways again.
We headed further up into the hills.
The views really are stunning even on a cloudy day.
All too soon a decision had to be made take the long way home on the road or back the way we came.
Offroad it would be but we'd have to get a move on.
so back onto the bikes.
by this point we were pretty tired
The way home.
Didn't realise we'd come as far.
Low cloud and darkness were starting to make riding even harder.
Try and pick your line through this
Big Gav feeling the strain smallest person biggest bike.
Tarby's Husky needing a re-fuel .
Just before the return crossing off the motorway
At this point I wished I'd taken the road home
So could I make over the bog in one piece ?
Could I FEK
Managed to jump the big ditch at the widest point but went over the handle bars in the process catching my knee hard on the bar ends
It was fekking sore the bars knocked my knee protectors out the way
Tarby caught the aftermath on his camera phone
He also caught Buzza
Dibble
Big Gav
And I caught him after a big off.
Don't know if he was checking his ribs or his pocket full of Mars bars
Then the DR600 decided to loose the it's clutch no drive
We still had along way to go home but luckily we adjusted the clutch out and it started to work again
We finally made it home for 6pm freezing cold, knackered ,limping
and wet
Can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday
PS. UDMC's a little bike club we set up when we were kids.
