Uconnect5 TomTom map updates (Relay / Boxer / Ducato / Fiat 500 etc)

The Uconnect5 is fitted to a number of different cars and vans and I really struggled to find out how on earth to update the maps on them.

I eventually stumbled across this guide which I followed and it worked perfectly.

Be warned that my van took a full hour to update the map so plan accordingly!

I have the same (or very similar) unit in my Peugeot motorhome.

Insert the USB device with the new map into your Uconnect system…

One question. Where on the unit do you connect to? I can’t recall, though it’s been a while, a USB or similar socket. I have though, never looked. Now I am wondering if it is down below the radio or in the glove box……

On mine the USB socket is located in the glovebox vertically below the head unit. It's not immediately obvious as it's up high and right at the back.
