We are off to Brittany in the morning, Liverpool to Portsmouth and there are weather warnings due to the rain thats on its way......

Time for the wetsuit I fear! Been waiting for holidays all summer and now the heaviest rain of the 'summer' hits home.

Oh joy. Thank god for goretex.

I'm sure we'll be fine, its just disappointing when you've been planning a trip for ages and then the weather lets you down (again).

Rain's only a problem when you're planning a trip or actually riding in it....look back at a holiday and you don't remember it so much :)

I just rode 500kms home in the pouring down rain to.... eh..... escape the UK rain... :blast

Oh well... At least I found out my rain gear works... :aidan

One of these days I'll come over and get nice weather for exploring your wunnerful B-roads...

Al...

What rain? :nenau

Just back from a 300km ride in the glorious sunshine - 27* :bounce1

Holy moly - now that was a rainy journey to portsmouth! Heated grips are a true godsend....
Still, once we got there the sun stayed out for 7 glorious days. brittany was awesome. The granite coast was just stunning and deserted roads from start to finish. Dinan was stunning as a medieval town (good market too!). Dinard, beaches, twisty roads, awesome sea food. Whole trip was great - topped off with a great B and B just outside Dinan - 'Vue de la Rance' in La Hisse.

And true to form, it started raining five miles out of portsmouth all the way home! comedy.

Still - what challenges you makes you stronger as they say.

Nice one, glad it worked out OK :thumb2

Oh BTW muffs are even better . I've only ever worn some lightweight unlined gloves since I bought 'em, come rain or shine .
