Wrong!

You can't use BMW's Logo, They are very protective of that, and rightlfully so! Too conservative for me.

Hmmm, "lets ride" is v naff. Why don't you copy a warranty claim on the tee shirt . That way you could fill in the tee shirt while you wait for the truck to pick you up. (only joking):augie

what fabric print are you using, is it flock fabric print?

not the type that wears off after a few washes.

only ask because Ive had a few in the past that were poor quality

i had my side patch club tshirts printed up in the flock print n it sinks into the t,shirt like a velvet Finnish n is very hard wearing.

have ye considered doing hoodies as well as t,shirts , thats if a design is eventually chosen.

y not consider using a silhouette print design of the gs with whatever typeface
complements the visual impact of the image (gs picture) .

my t.shirts were black with main design an the club name , in yer face but subtle at the same time..
as not to be tackey.

sometimes lots of images in one area can get too busy and distracting to the eye.

less is more ,
header line , picture logo (insert gs, adv etc) ,footer line type script

this brings the eye to the logo and then the top and bottom part of the t,shirt/hoody..

just a suggestion...

let the rest pick the bones out of this un ...

I’ve had one of his shirts now for about 18 months, maybe more.
The graphics are as good/clear/sharp now as the day I received them.
Washed once or twice a week, they really are good shirts. First choice when clean and I have lots of t shirts! I now have 3. (Didnt like the long sleave one that I bought.)No connection apart from being a satisfied customer.:nenau
I would say “stop giving the guy such a hard time” but he appears to have a thick skin and “you” are a bunch of Tossers !

givin the guy a hard time.....???

i was in the industry, so was askin if he now worked with the latest print methods...nowt to do wi givin the feller a hard time:dabone

"Too conservative for me"

What posters are trying to tell you, breaking it gently, is that our ideas of designs are subtle, tasteful and even cool and classy, whereas your ideas are American, loud, brash and vulgar. Such is the cultural differences between our nations, even though I find Americans the nicest, kindest, most friendly people on the planet. (I think I got myself outa that hole).

As for not being allowed to use the BMW logo, they got rightly peeved off a few years ago because of two reasons. Firstly no money was going into their coffers for the use of their logo. Don't forget that Hardly Davidson make more on the sale of their merchandise than the sale of their bikes. Secondly any 'Erbert with blue and black felt tips were knocking out some truly awful logos which ruined the image of the official factory logo. I know the US is litigious in the extreme but I can't image a dawn raid to confiscate a couple of dozen t-shirts, can you? :eek

My comment wasn’t aimed at you ugg, wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular.
S D, as I said, seems to have a fairly thick skin.
My post was about the wear in the print after many many washes. I don’t know the technical answers but I do know the practical ones. Thought that’s what you were asking about, that’s the way it reads :nenau

Ever been to any of the events and seen the average Tossers shirt  :D

T-Shirt proccess

givin the guy a hard time.....???

Ok for everyones clarification, The proccess that I use is called Dye-Sublimation. How it works is, You have to use Dye-Sublimation Inks, (special formula) they are not cheap! You also have to have a special transfer paper to print the Dye-Sub Ink images on to. Also not cheap. When the image is done you then have to apply the image to the garment under a very hot heat press.

What happens in the actual proccess is under this heat & preassure, the Dye-Sub ink actually converts to a gas and mixes with the fabric. Upon cooling (very quickly) that gas now becomes a permenant dye. That's why my shirts are of very good quality. You will wear the shirt out before you loose the image quality. This proccess also allows many, many shades of colors and photography to be reproduced. Silk screen is pretty limited. When you see one and feel one of my T-Shirts, you cannot feel the image! It is part of the fabric. Plus, I use a very-nice quality fabric that is 100% wicking performance fabric that flat works! There are some cheap performance fabrics out today where the wicking properties are sprayed on after the fabric is made. This process washes away after so many washings. My T's wicking properties are called "Intera" This wicking process is actually mixed in with the fabric when its woven, a big difference.

I love quality, and I hate to compremise. Sorry about the long winded explanation, but I thought it was needed here with these questions coming up.

In regards to design, I do agree that there are some cultural differences, however, for those of you who think that my designs are gaudy, loud, overbearing, to proud, monster truck,(that one kills me!):D, Naff, a bit twee, carnival, seaside, or overdone, I have quite a few England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Isle of man, Welsh customers that have purchased from me, and many have taken the time to email me on how satisfied they were. S00oo, I'm still listening, however, I will try to come up with a compremise on the designs that we have all discussed here.
But, I can tell you this, they won't be like some of the moderators here think they should be.

Thank you for your input and comments, well some of them!:yelrotflm

My 2 pennies

Just for the record , I have had one of Leon's tee shirts for well over 6 months now ; great quality , great print and first class service , just ordered two of the new Polo shirt variety............

Bigboy ( Martin)

this proses is the same as the t,shirts i had printed.
well recommended:thumb

wen ye sorted wi a design..
all be glad to have one

as with anything , ye cant please every one!!!! dont let this discourage ye.:augie

i had a flag done for my club n we cocked the 1st one up because our hot bed wasnt large enough to take all the images at once.

the alignment wasnt central, so had to start again... once the press is down..
that's it:blast

ah well ye learn by ye mistakes, i did. :D

are ye using the cup/mug print heat transfer aswell or just the fabric side?

i was amazed wen the lad put a picture downloaded from the pc streight on a mug , just from a print transfer...
industry has come on leaps n bounds since last i worked in the trade.

Respects

I liked Tuned In's design, pity about the copy right and the fact it wasnt a white 1150 GSA SE.

Now, if it was my bike in one of the forementioned designs, I would have a couple in the non-sweaty fabric.

I would be happy enough to refrain from disclosing where it came from in the event of the copyright police interrogating me!

Southerndude, dont be too hung-up on the old copyright stuff. You are sending it off to foreign lands..... just stick on a disclaimer. It seems to work here ok!

Final " GS " Design

Ok Everyone,

Here goes the neighborhood! (US Line from " Night Shift" the movie)
Ok, I have finished one of the designs. It's a international "GS" design.

All the images and products are posted and ready for sale on the web-site.
I'm still thinking about the Vertical Oval Design that started this thread.
Coming soon.

When you go to the website, just choose your model motorcycle first then the design, and then you can choose which COUNTRY you want on the design, then the Model. I have had a number of requests in regards to the US sizing vs UK. So what I did is when you choose the size in the drop down box, it tells you to the right of Large, XLarge, the Chest size in inches. Also, all of my shirts stay very true to size, with very little shrinkage.

I should add that these designs look there best when on a WHITE Shirt!
If you choose a Gray shirt the white parts of the design will be the color of the gray shirt. Nature of the beast. They still will look very nice.

Sadly no Cross of St George... any chance of a mock up of what it might look like..... and perhaps our friends in NI might like a view of their flag?

Leon

I've designed and had made a number of t-shirt designs in the past and it was always a bugger trying to get everyone to agree. In the end you just have to listen, then go away and do what you think is best.

No airheads then? :thedummy

English Flag

Ok the English Flag has been added to the options.

Woohoo, my order's in:bounce1

I hope the 1150GSA on my shirt is a one of those really good looking black ones and not just a primered silver one :hide

Only kidding:D

Thanks southerndude. I like the designs:cool:
