Ullapool Surprisingly Dry

It’s actually called “Hillbillies”.
Just having carrot cake today - and yes it’s decent

No/any lesbians ?

Disturbing sound of banjo playing ?

Off to Gairloch and Applecross today. There used to be a lesbian cafe (with cats) in Gairloch with amazing apple crumble. Hope it’s still there.
Dry again 😎
What's a reasonable achievable mileage each day considering the other traffic, please?

There’s probably quite a few different answers to this question. I’m just back from a 150 mile round trip fuck about……..and ready for a beer now. Traffic was light today, but there was a few annoying motorhomes none the less………and a procession of old Volvos that held me up. Otherwise a pleasant run.
Probably start to get busier soon though.
You can get here in just over 3 hours from Glasgow if you horse it up A9. 6 hours from Glasgow if you go Cairngorms or Spean Bridge etc. All depends on weather and mode of transportation really.
How long is a piece of string really 🤔

Take a side tour along the single track to achiltibuie, my home village. Spent my youth scrambling over the hills there on various DTs
I should be at the campsite there in a weeks time.
Planning on climbing Suilven again from the Inverkircraig side, as well as doing some fishing.
Assynt has to be my favourite little corner of Scotland. :thumb

Mixed bag of tricks weather wise, but all good 👍 👍

Guess she was never a lesbian cause has a hot daughter working there now 😬
Definitely family trees up here that don’t branch??!! 🤣🤣
Been told everyone in Gairloch fucks and drinks a lot. Nothing much else to do 🤔

Btw, the Arch Inn is definitely the place in Ullapool. Live music and still sells scampi fries 👍👍

Late and lazy start today. Wee sonter of the Cairngorms and home. Hopefully I can ride around the big band of rain moving northeast over country 🤔

Well, that’s me back at No9 after my 2 day jaunt to Ullapool. Was decent trip, but weather could definitely’ve been better.
Discovered my Spada waterproof boots aren’t actually that!! Mind you never bothered with waterproofs (except Mosko overjacket) from Braemar cause only 2 hours or so to home. Deluge between Perth and Stirling!!
Couple of takeaways:
If you’re going to Ullapool best register with their accommodation enquiry form. An email is sent to every property that meets your criteria regarding dates etc.
I stayed at The old Surgery B&B and was perfect for me. Sara will let you park bike in her driveway (max 3) or plenty place on street (very safe). Great location - looking onto campsite on the seafront. 2 minute walk to everything. £75/ night - no breakfast.
Campsite looks decent with magnificent view.
Arch Inn is best salty pub - with live bands.
Seaforth okay, but £20 for fish n chips ffs.
The Indian has lost their license AGAIN!! Lol
But they’ll let you go to Tesco and bring own booze (1 minute walk)
Good circle route would be up West Coast through Fort William and cut off for Kyle etc. or cut over from A9 at Dalwhinnie to Spean Bridge (quiet OMG fast road - with no cops) and same, same as previous rest of way.
Back - go through Inverness and exist Carrbridge for Cairngorms.
Enjoy 😬
