Bloody Hell £25 a head to get in to the circuit area PER HEAD! and by area I mean all access points by road about 1/2 mile or so from the circuit

Makes a damn dear day for taking yer wee un on the back of ya or your girl out for the day to the races? Burgers, Programs, Grandstand seats, etc all extra and on top of £25 per head OUCH!

They lost a load of money if you judge by the number of bikes that turned away and went home and that included southern bikes all heading back

£25 or 30 Euro

Too Dear I won't be back!

Not sure if this is a fare comparison, but a BSB meeting over here....approx £35.00 for a race day ticket........Always thought you lads had it too good for too long........:hide :aidan

PS....Before you give me a kicking, I lost a bomb attending this years' great non-event NW200........:D

Yeah but that would be a racetrack with facilities

We're talking about access to a boggy field here

I guess what I wanted to say that £10 a person is acceptable

but £25 just seems damn greedy and going by the number who turned away it seemed so to them as well

As to NW200 Well you still had all the shops and amenities that the area has to offer besides the racing

Yeah, I didn't think of it like that. It's a bit like over her. I live in Scarborough and we have the Olivers' Mount Circuit. It's a mega track, but an expensive day out.

Sat here though, I would happily pay £25.00 to see Dunlop (s)/Ryan/Guy boy/Anstey/Cameron/McG etc rattling 'round the Dundrod circuit. Depends on what you are used to, what you have seen before and how much you want to see it again.

Let's enjoy it while we can, I'm sure that the Fun Police are having a squint at 'racing on the roads'.....:thumb

First time at the event ( didn't have to get robbed of the £25), brilliant event, great circuit and some good battles today. Here's a couple of shots I got, I'll upload a few more tomorrow if anyone wants a nosey.

£25 for a days entertainment of the best Road racers on the planet Which the Irish riders and teams did us proud . what price would you pay for a concert ticket /football match / cricket /tennis /or horse race? To me today was good value for money. What dose it take for people to understand what it costs to run a international race.

What a great day to be a Irish road racing fan Well dun all involved

What I am saying is that YES I understand money is needed...... but every year it is the same thing they overprice it for the "Average" Man / Woman / Family with their kids and they can't afford it. End Off!

For a die hard race fan it probably is acceptable ..... If they ring off portrush next year and charge a tenner a head in I'd be happy but at 12 o'clock to expect people to spend £25 per head to sit on the edge of a boggy field???

My first experience of road racing was at the UGP in 75 or 76 and stuck in a hedge for 6 hours with My Dad and Sis and a bag of sandwiches and a flask and seeing all the bikes and smelling the Castrol R etc etc and again sometime in the following years at Ballysally. Kids aren;t getting this so where will the future fans come from ?

People turn away because it is expensive! Imagine if only 20% of the 15 bikes (in about 10 minutes) that we saw turn back had all gone in and that was at only one access point

It wasn't advertised anywhere that "I" saw about £25 in on Saturday and that is my gripe

£50 for the 2 of us for an hour or so Bottom Line... We couldn't afford 50 Dabs

Paid £25 before end of June and got a free programme included. Went Wed, Thurs and Saturday. Fantastic value for money. I will pay same next year no probs. I understand where you are coming from Jaythro but I can also see where the race organisers are coming from also. You will all be able to see it on BBC for free on Tues and Wed night. When you see the quality of the racing, you will understand why I will pay again. Michael Dunlop is the 'Real Deal'

I will have to disagree with you there as i am the average man with wife and son to pay for .second the UGP has advertised on their website the charges for months and in press also. Third if you have been going since 75 you will know that it is in a bogy wet part of the country with no shops etc but i go for the racing the nw could never match Dundrud for racing . The reason that it went up so much this year was last year they run a very good well attended event and they made a loss that is fact. The reason that they lost money was that aprox 70 % of the programs were sold and the man in the car /van with a program on dash had the car full of people for one program this year all pay or go home and the boys that turned and went home did not want to pay ,their loss Not the clubs as happened in past. The half day bikers wait till noon hopping that the gate men are away and they get a free day you know that is what goes on . yes it is steep but value for money i think .

I was in the middle of three bikes - the bike in front had an armband as had the bike behind. I stopped to pay and the gateman waved me thru :augie
I honestly was going to pay but when you get waved thru , what can you do :nenau:green gri:green gri
should have come with me Jay :rob and I did buy a program too
