Having watched GlynnJ ride away to Fife yesterday after buying my lovely R800r, I thought I’d post the last bike from my collection.
This is probably not the best platform for selling this ‘marmite’ bike, I tried it a year ago originally at a higher asking price and although I received lots of kind words the bike was never viewed.
So, at just 1,900 miles from new, it’s in near mint condition, it’s had one previous owner and I’ve had the bike in my collection for over 5 years, in that time I’ve ridden it around 450 miles.
Anyone with any interest will know that this was the ‘Bond Bike’ featured in Tomorrow Never Dies.
It had an extensive and expensive re-commission service by Plymouth BMW just before I purchased it which cost around £1500 and included many age related serviceable items such as tyres, pads, battery, lubes etc.
I’m asking £6,500.00 firm.
If interested, please pm via here, or for quicker replies text or call Kev on 07760483643.

Lovely
Do I spy a Maxton rear shock too?
Popular period mod and inspired by Shaun Thomas by Rainbow BMW, in conjunction with Ron Maxton, they came up with an improvement to the shock and it worked well

Definitely a marmite bike but virtually no chance of getting another 1900 miler and with quite a cult following...👍

Oh boy, I had one of those briefly many years back, certainly different to the GSA I have now. If I had the dosh and space I would have had it.
I'm pretty certain that's the one that turned up in a Bond film, if I'm not mistaken.

GLWS :D

You didn’t read the ad, did you ! 🤔

So because I can't read, is this the actual bike from the film ? All the best with the sale

Well spotted Jonny!
Yes, Maxton supplied that for me, not cheap at around £600 but we’ll worth it. Maxton’s absolutely know how to sort out bike suspension. I do have the original BM shocker which is in perfect condition.

See here, same colour too!

Shaun put a demo R1200C on the fleet and it was unrideable with the oem shock (far too harsh), so he took the bike over to Maxtons and they worked together to achieve a solution ................and yours has it !

I forgot to mention, it has some lovely leather clad seat matching luggage, so you can cruise off into the wild blue yonder! 😊

What do you use to polish the luggage ? my black panniers looks quite "dull" :)

Always liked these, they`re a very distinctive bike.
Was on the fence about buying one due to all the shiney stuff on `em though.
I don`t do chrome.

Did they ever do a triple black? :DD

Hmm. All the pics seem to be carefully posed to hide the obvious scrapes on the frame and silencers from that last image...

:D

About 4 tins of paint and half an hour😉 seriously though...😆 At the time the ivory/ tan leather combo would have been a bit suss but it's aged far better than many of the C colours and a good clean spec... Good luck selling👍

Jason, I’m not known for hiding stuff, but if you’re seriously interested in buying, please pm me with your mobile number for close-up detailed photos of what you need to see and I’ll WhatsApp them over.

I was just being silly Kev after seeing that last Bond pic. Seriously - looks a lovely bike, one from BMWs halcyon days build-wise hence it's immaculate condition. Cool as f*** too! GLWTS...
