For Sale Ultra low mileage BMW R1200 Cruiser. 1999.

A very good question - is it the actual bike that appears in the film?
I wish it was the actual bike from off the film set, but sadly it’s not. It’s the same model though in the same livery.
I would imagine that they got through quite a lot of bikes making that scene with the bike chase, if you’ve seen the film you’ll see why 😱.

The answer to that will be no - there were several of them and they were all scrapped as they were pre production models. I was lucky enough to see them all on the Frogmore film set towards the end of filming. This will be a very good example of the model used in the film 👍

Thanks Paul,
Well my bike is certainly a good example, it’s a rare one with anodised rims that are as good as when they came out the box new.
Sadly many of these Cruisers came with chrome plated alloy rims which turned out to be a disaster. The Crome didn’t stick, it flaked and became a right mess.
Also this is an early pre abs bike which is another plus as many owners of the later abs bikes had issues and the abs units were removed.

I was just being silly Kev after seeing that last Bond pic. Seriously - looks a lovely bike, one from BMWs halcyon days build-wise hence it's immaculate condition. Cool as f*** too! GLWTS...
Hi Jason, no worries at all my mate, I realised later after I re-read it but I couldn’t change my reply. 😂.
Yes it was a brave move of BMW to try and re-invent the Harley. They are actually quite a nice bike to ride, lovely torquey motor and quite good handling.

Strawberries and Cream (or marmite).

I’m giving my add a shameless punt to freshen it up!
Any takers?
😃😃

Sensible Offers considered 👍

Lovely
Do I spy a Maxton rear shock too?
Popular period mod and inspired by Shaun Thomas by Rainbow BMW, in conjunction with Ron Maxton, they came up with an improvement to the shock and it worked well
My brother in law has one from almost new. Front shock was knackered under 2K miles. He replaced both with better ones.
