Ultraseal

I can beat that, SEVEN thorns (hawthorns) from hedge cutting in the borders, all of which punctured the tyre.
Lost a few psi and got me home safely.
Now all my bikes have been ultrasealed.

I can beat all those..................

Nine bikes in morocco.
Only one bike using ultraseal, and it was the only one to get a flat tyre due to a puncture. :D

I use it in all my wheelbarrows, (4 of them), and my two ride ons - its great!

And I can beat all those :augie

12 bikes in Morocco, only one bike using ultraseal. Not the only one to get a nail in it, but the only one to be able to pull it out & be able to ride all the way home...........

Ultraseal - it should really be called marmite................you either like it or you don't :D

So if you over inflate your bike tyres then let a bit of air out will the Ultraseal shag your valve? :(

Nope. Or, to put it another way, it hasn't on any of my valves so far...................

2nd story, my mates R1100RS in France. We were both doing 100mph in the outside lane when he picked up a bolt, head first, into the tyre. Massive deflation due to the size of the hole, but he reckons it gave him the valuable seconds to be able to get over to the hard shoulder safely. He's a Police Class 1 rider & knows his stuff. He's also fro mYorkshire and as tight as they come, so if he buys it............. :D

It's been said before, bit I'll reiterate it. Ultraseal won't stop you getting the physical punctures & certain people will still think they can put it in and never bother checking their tyres before/after each ride............

For me, it's a little insurance for not a lot of cost.

Tyre fitters hate the stuff

Course they do, stops them making money repairing punctures that you can sort yourself, or flogging you a new tyre when you don't necessarily need it.................:augie

That begin said, I've had it in 3 sets of tyres now & never had a tyre fitter in 3 different shops say anything..........

Well this set is the first tryout for me with ultraseal, the way it sealed the puncture was pretty impressive, I will be ordering some for the next set :thumb2

Will it work on blow up dolls? That way you can give em love bites, allegedly :augie

Seriously though, how will it work with my 650GS with the pressure monitor thingy? Do you inflate the tyres then insert this ultraseal? :nenau

no if you check t.p's make sure the valve is 90deg's not at the lowest point
so it does'nt get in the valve

Tastes orrible though :augie
It goes in through the valve with the core removed, I suppose if the Tyre Pressure monitor is built into the valve cap it might be okay but if its inside the wheel/tyre it might not do it a lot of good.

Got my Duke out a couple of weeks ago for the summer & did the obvious checks including tyre pressures. Both valves had spent the winter months at bottom centre & were completely gundged up. Spun them round a few times & left them just before TDC for a couple of hours. Ultaseal re-distributed itself & I was able to put pressure in.

I've never been with anyone who has ever been stranded with a puncture, and i've rode all the way home from morocco after a puncture, which ultraseal wouldn't have had a hope in hell of stopping -
And if you are stranded with a puncture you are a muppet :D.

Quick question . What if your ultrasealed tyre still deflates - can you then use a plug :augie No guesses or friend of a friend stories please, only real actual accounts .
Does using ultraseal cut your options of fixing your tyre while on the road, i'm not talking about being in this country, where you can actually ride to a tyre/repair shop even with a flat tyre .
