Has anyone yet been brave enough to try putting ultraseal into the tyres of an 07 GS fitted with the tyre pressure indicators?
On purchase Rainbow suggested I shouldn't.

I once worked for a company that imported an aftermarket motorcycle tyre pressure sensor. It worked by a little hole in the top that let the air pressure in.

We were told under no circumstances to put any form of tyre weld, Ultrseal or other in, as this would render the unit useless.

I'm not too sure about the current BMW one, but as we were (they still are, I just don't work there any more) the main supplier of electronic components to BMW (Cars & Bikes), I would have thought it worked in a similar way.

Hope it helps, and yes I agree, just get a repair kit, if the worst ever happens.

Puncture, punctures, punctures.............of course we all hate the idea of them and hate having them even more but how big a problem are they really?

I remember reading about the couple that rode their GS around the World in 19 days and didn't get a single one..............or maybe they had that stuff in their tyres?
