Unable Route file - insufficient space - Navigator V

Hi All, well I've sorted my 5k mile route through Europe, connected my Nav 5 to my PC, downloaded the MRA Connector thingy, and made it transfer the file to my satnav! Hoorah i hear you all say!........ well my satnav gets to 45% downloaded and then spits back a message saying unable to download insufficient space! So my question is what do i do now?

Delete all the old junk off the nav, break the route up in to smaller sections or buy a memory card.

Split your 5000 mile route up into smaller parts. If you want to have a track of the route you can but the Nav5 can only handle 10,000 track points per track or one every two miles in your scenario. MyRoute app does not have the tools (i think, i've never found the need to do that) to reduce the number to track points in a track, but you can do this in Basecamp. As Siddo says split your path into daily routes. If you MUST have an overview produce a track of <10,000 points and show it on the map page of your Nav V under your routes.
