I tried to install new favourites on my 660, but they have failed to install.

I then tried to delete the old favourites manually, but i can't get rid of them.

I have tried both soft and hard resets, left the SD card out of the unit, deleting all the favourites manually, but when i power up the unit after all this, the old favourites are still there.

I have left the battery out for a few hours, and went through the whole rigmarole again, with the same result.

Apart from calling Garmin, can anyone suggest anything else to try?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, but if you had read my question you would have gathered that I had already tried that option.

I have tried to delete them as a batch, and also individually.

Several hard and soft resets later, I still can't get rid of them, no matter what I try. :nenau

Never had this problem myself on my 660 - what version of s/w are you operating? Are the favourites stored on the SD card or the internal memory only?

Have you tried plugging the gps to a computer and deleting all the gpx files?

Thanks for the replies folks.

Software and mapping is all up to date. No favourites on SD Card.

I have been able to delete some of the favourites by deleting the current GPX file in the Garmin folder on the unit itself.

After dicking around and reducing the number of favourites I want installed, I have had some success in getting what I want onto the unit.

It's not perfect but will do for now. I still have some waypoints on it that I just can't get rid of.
