You may have seen that I'm trying to get recommendations from riders for small independent eateries and services from around the world.

Unchainedworld.com came about because I rode across the USA, having moved here last year from Colchester, and decided to look for the real USA, not the one you find in every high street in every country, so I only stopped or ate at one off places.
Now I'm trying to get the site populated with as many unchaineds as possible.
Once we have enough, you'll be able to enter a route and get a list of those unchained along the way, as an alternative to McTuckey Fried Burgerhut's offerings.

So as a Pacific North Westerner to UK North Westerners, can I ask if you have any places would you'd be kind enough to send them to [email protected]

alternatively, post them here and I'll pick them up.
I need detailed addresses as we are adding gps references.

Mint Cake

Isn't there anything around the Lake District that merits an unchained recommendation? A Kendal Mint Cake shop perhaps?
What about a Cafe on the A66 near Brough?
Lancaster must have somewhere, Leyland even...a Hot Pot fer cryin' out loud.

Come on folks, I had more from Wales and they live on Leeks and cheeese on toast.
