Removed the top fusebox cover to check for wire fraying or breaks but, all looks well.
I noticed these two redundant female connections underneath.

More than likely the wiring harness is used on several 1150 models.
On the photos, the left conx on both is live on ign off.

Any clues what they are for?

No, and further more, they are not standard connectors fitted by the manufacturers.

So one of the previous owners of your bike has hacked into the wiring at some stage to install their gadgets.

It might have been some sort of alarm/immobiliser which they have removed prior to selling the bike. God knows where they have chopped into the wiring loom and what quality of job they did.

Good luck sorting it out.

Ian, bike was about 4 months old and bought in Kuwait city at the beemer dealer. Any work was done by them as previous owner (Kuwaiti) could afford to get whatever done by them.

Fair enough, but I’m not convinced that it was done by the dealer. More likely it was done by some back street jobbing shop. However, you still have no idea what those connectors were fitted for. You may be able to establish some idea by tracing the wiring from the connectors back to where they have been spliced into the main wiring loom. The fact that one wire is connected directly to the battery by-passing the ignition, makes me think alarm/immobiliser.

If it were me I would look at all the additional non standard wiring and aim to remove it.

Nevertheless, you haven’t said about your progress to trace the Green/White wire circuit to establish where there is a break preventing power to your injectors.
