Under seat - water ingress protection..comms gear etc

What mods have people used to protect their autocom / any comms gear under the passenger seat of a WC GSA ?

I've been out in the pissing rain and my autocom (3rd fitted to this WC bike) has failed again due to water ingress.

Where are BMW dealers fitting autocoms on the WC GS now ? Mine was fitted under the seat but this is not protected enough.

Any suggestions, piccies of solutions ?

I had the same issue on my non LC GSA 1st circuit board in the autocom lasted about 12 months. When I got a replacement board prior to reassembling I coated the pcb with acf50 4 years later and still going strong

Latest board was fully coated with PCB lacquer prior to fitting.....the WC is just too open to the elements.

A piece of poly bag to cover the gear under the seat, never any problems with mine. (Not rocket science I know but it worked).
