I've been following the posts on the forum regarding underseat exhausts but there doesn't seem to be anything recent.
I was wondering if anyone has fitted the Fallert Sport underseat exhaust system or something similar?
I'm thinking of going down that route so that I can convert my left vario pannier to full size rather than buy new panniers.
I'd appreciate any advice & tips from those who have been using the system.
Thanks.

Thats a very expensive way of gaining only a handful of litres of extra storage in your panniers !

Take less and pack lighter perhaps?

Looks kinda cool.......

But hate to think how much it would cost....

'Tis expensive, €1028 with €28 for shipping from Germany plus another €276 for the larger left hand pannier.

But I do like the look.

Has anyone had one fitted or do I have to fork out & be the first?

Staintune will work

05 GS 1200, Staintune muffler with Full size Jesses both sides

Watch the rear tire size, I run a 140 Max

Surely a bigger vario is still almost useless for proper touring.

They are clever but the best uprade I have made to thr bike is to ditch the little buggers.

You could have gold plated Vern's for that much dosh.

I am with the Mr Badger on this.

There are two possible lines running through the whole thing.

(1) Style. If bods like the under seat style, then they are going to have to spend hard dosh to achieve it. That's a certainty. Sports bikes have gone the complete circle: Alongside, then underseat and now by and large back to alongside. Driven in part by necessity (where to put the very hot catalyst box) and part to ape their WSB and MotoGP cousins.

BuMW did not need to do so for the GS. Indeed, as an 'adventure' bike Munich's thinking may well have been that having the entire exhaust pipe - from manifold to muffler's mouth - easily accessible would be an advantage to owners; screw the style police and the loss of a bit of carrying capacity, in other words.

(2) Practicality. If bods really cannot manage on the volume of the vario panniers as they stand, then they will need something else. That much is reasonably obvious. The easiest and probably cheapest option is to retro-fit either some GSA panniers or a third party set from Vern, Civil or whoever.

Alternatively, they could look at how they pack, what they pack and how often they need to do it.
