I've been looking for a good quality, decent sized, reflective Union Jack to go on the back of my ADV panniers... anyone got any ideas?

at the risk of being a PITA, its a Union Flag.
Its only a Union Jack when flown from a jack staff.

Jacks are additional national flags flown by warships (and certain other vessels) at the head of the ship. These are usually flown while not underway and when the ship is dressed on special occasions. Jacks in the Royal Navy must be run up when the first line is ashore when coming alongside.
In Britain's Royal Navy, the Union Flag at sea serves both as a naval jack and as the rank flag of an Admiral of the Fleet. It is illegal for a merchant ship or yacht to fly the Union Flag: a civilian jack (sometimes known as the pilot jack as it was formerly used to request a pilot) exists, and consists of the Union Flag with a white border. The St George's Cross flown from the jack staff is known as the Dunkirk jack, and is customarily flown by ships and boats which took part in the Dunkirk evacuation operation in 1940. The flying of the St George's Cross elsewhere on a civilian ship is illegal, as it is the rank flag of a full Admiral.

Well, thanks for sorting out my nomenclature... doesn't help me out much though. Unless I've been googling the wrong thing - you might be on to something there

To be pragmatic about, you'd be better putting a Saltire on your panniers. You'd getter a better welcome just about anywhere in Western Europe and many other places.

I had decent Union Flag stickers on my Metal Mule panniers.
Just removed them today in preparation for my trip down through Islamic countries such as Mauritania. Not sure I want to advertise my Britishness.
I think you can buy decent Union stickers in Halfords.

Whilst a fan of many Scottish products, most around 40% abv, I don' think that justifies me sporting a saltire
It's the reflective part that I'm after most - I found tons of union jack/flag stickers, but no decent reflective ones. Am thinking I'll end up buying a few bits of 3M tape and making my own up by the look of it!
