Maybe he is colour blind?

Very practical feature. Keeps the weight forward, easy access while on the bike, waterproof, clocks still visible. Can't fault it..🤔.............

Apart from its aesthetics 😯

Just a thought... Where do you put it while refueling?

Old fogey musing alert..
Many moons ago in a previous life, I used to be an accident investigator/ reconstructor.

We could work out the impact speed of a motorcycle with a simple formula using of the weight of the rider (or any object) and the distance they were thrown to the point where they landed, this identified the energy needed to convey that mass and then convert that into mph.

If for some reason we had to use the pillion passenger instead of the rider, as an example, we’d have to add a 45degree trajectory to the equation to account for them sailing up and over the rider first.

For the rider of this bike, because of the ramp like shape of the bodywork, a similar trajectory element would have to be included.

Sorry, the picture just brought some memories back… ramble over, nothing to see here.

BTW, that bike looks hideous.

I assume that one uses a periscope for viewing forward.

Owned and modified by a retired aircraft engineer/designer..
Wonder if he was forcibly retired before he designed and attempted to fly an aircraft of his own design,

Cut an opening in the box and insert some Perspex and you’ve got a window. You could then carry under 5’s in the tank box

There were quite a few concepts in the 80's with the raised tank section and enclosed bars (one of the Honda 125 sports bikes had it ) but they never caught on.
That , however , is just wrong

Surely the petrol would leak out?

The Ducati Paso was another odd one with the solid screen/fairing

I quite liked the look of them but apparently they had problems with overheating due to the fully enclosed engine
