Have any of you guys seen this helmet? It has a built in rearview mirror.

Reevu helmets were invented to address a failing in the very heart of bike helmet design and operation – to overcome the sensory deprivation from loss of peripheral vision and hearing.

Here are some images from the rear view system and looks like the UK to me.

Yeah mate, I saw one in my local Dealer`s just before Christmas.

At first,it seems like a good idea.

Until,as Margus said,it becomes totally useless if you`re carrying a passenger.

Also....it felt a bit ' cheapo ' and likely to be easily damaged.

There`s also the susceptibility to misting up to consider.

And if your on a sportbike you can watch the sky.........

:D That brings up a good point. I'm always moving my head around and it might get distracting unlike a cars fixed point mirror.

Lose the rearview - you've got mirrors on the bike after all - and fit a head up display and you've got a deal :)

Heads up!

I'd rather see some kind of heads up display for the GPS or similar, BMW are building this into their cars (heads up display for speed etc. not sure about GPS), this would be VERY cool.

I've recently fitted one of MiGsel's GPS mounts which addresses this issue to a certain extent. There have been a few accidents by members of this forum that may have been attributed to looking down at a handlebar mounted GPS

I tried one on at the NEC show, either last year's or the year before.

The "vision slot" above the visor is quite narrow and therefore the fit of the helmet to ensure that the eyes align with the slot is/was quite critical.

The design may have changed a bit since then though ......
