Superb ride report Ash.
There's something about riding on your own in foriegn lands that is just magical, I love it.

I've just posted an open invite if anyone fancies a trip next year. All these passes you photographed will be within riding distance.

Kenny, you're just around the corner from me!

Great report!

Pictures 2 & 4 were taken in Maienfeld. That's where I grew up. :D

onto Davos / Klosters and through the Vereina tunnel.
on route to Liechenstien.
picture 3 is painted are very clever and then fields of grapevines

Video Camera?

Ash,
I love those videos. I can't see from the photos of your bike where you have mounted the camera. Is it behind the screen or exposed to the wind from the front? Very clear picture makes me think the latter.
I've done this with a compact digital of about 5mpixles through the screen, great fun, but yours are a lot better.
What camera did you use?
Many thanks Dave

Well done Ash. Thanks for putting the effort into taking and posting all the pictures so we could all enjoy your excellent trip. :thumb2

Camera and mount

Ash, many thanks for the link, now I know why the photos are so clear!
Best regards Dave

I'm covering similar ground at the end of July/beginning of August, but heading further east into the Dolomites and over Grossglockner to Kaprun for four nights

Only the Furka/Grimsel/St Gottard pases will be new to me, but my new wife Trudi has never been to the Alps, so we're really looking forwards to it :D
