Mornin all,
on my '05 RT there are two unused female connectors, obviously part of the original loom, on the front subframe behind the headlight unit. One has two pins, not sure about the other one as it has a blanking plug in it.
Just wondered if anyone knows what they are for?
Sat Nav maybe or cruise control retro-fit?
Wondering if they might be usable as a power source with the obvious benefits of being ignition controlled etc.

If your bike does not have the Twin Horns and the two pin connector is at the nearside then this is for adding another horn. Mine was the same and included the blanking plug like you describe. Very easy and relatively cheap addition to make. There is even a mounting hole in the bracketry close by.

Got the power lead today from the dealer, cheaper than NN by a couple of quid.
Tried the connector on the offside subframe and it is not powered, but the nearside one (with the blanking plug) is powered on/off with the ignition.

Anybody know what amp rating these sockets are set to 'trip-out' at?
Cheers
