up to €4000 - what's your trade in worth

saw in the Irish Times today that Duffy's have up to €4000 of their used stock this Friday and Saturday. Wonder if this means that your trade in will be worth up to €4000 less, or that you'll get up to €4k of your new bike.

Good price if you're looking for the reassurance a dealer bike.
Bad news if you're trying to sell private.

The R80GS has gone to a good home. I've sorted the seat on the 1150, fixed the XT225 brakes and thinking of starting the rebuild of the R75/6 by getting the heads done for unleaded and replacing the valves. I'll need to do the pushrod seals and tubes and get a Boyer ignition system.
Up to €4000 off guts the value of any used BM, so it looks like I'll keep what I've got for a while longer.

But I do fancy one of these
