Allihies again.. but off to Asia soon....
Could the guys at Garmin please release an update for all voice activated GPS. I was a bit disapointed with my try out of a 2610 and the voice was part of the reason. So could we now have an added ability to choose.
1. an accent (to make it a bit more sexy)
2. a sliding scale (from polite to down right obnoxious)

You know what I mean, when you ignore the GPS and don't turn left... It'd be nice if it said , "I said turn left moron,,, take the next effing left or else I'll stop reading the frigging map"

Noooooo

thats the whole reason i got a gps - to stop all that from the passenger seat.

Next thing'll be a life like dummy in the back seat with a nagging voice....... :)

And "Oh well, if you're gonna make up your own route what the feck do you need me for - I'm shutting down" :D :D

I've just had the same idea - a more animated voice from the 2610:

"durrrrr...I said left you wally!"

even an accent that changed with your location...

from the Cockney
"oi mate hang a righ"

to
"go up road t pub then..."

or even when touring in europe
"mine got Leipzig vas link"

but no,I guess we're stuck with the lovely lady that warns she's "recalculating"

Anyway - is your volume OK can you hear the 2610 through your Autocom?
