I've just updated my new Nav V and I'm using an sd card for the extra memory. I've noticed quite a few of the speed limits are still not correct, is this normal? Probably 10% or more are incorrect. Do Garmin not update speed limits often?
CN2017.1 is completely untrustworthy for speed limits in Cheshire. I' not convinced it's any better anywhere else I've been since I installed it. It's predecessors were better in the sense that the limits they showed had been around since before Garmin created their maps: it seems as if Garmin are pitifully slow to learn about new limits. If the speed limit warning could be turned off then at least the device wouldn't lie but there's no way to stop it.
You can turn the bleeps off but i supose you knew that
As for having the speed limits wrong on there software I can forgive them that as authorities have to be asked and confirm etc etc and this will take a long time as will the process of getting them onto the Garmin software by which time the limits could well have changed elsewhere !
Never ending job for someone
If you need a Sat NAv to tell you what the speed limit is................................................. which I am sure you dont ..............
You can disable it through the menus. I disabled mine... all the non-existent speed camera zones and incorrect speed limit warnings was pissing me right off, especially when trying to listen to music or an audio book.
