Has anyone done this?

I tried on a jacket with level 2 D30 armour and it was super comfy, so looking to change my armour to this. I doubt I'll get an exact back plate as the oe is massive but will get something suitable.

Annoyingly, suppliers don't put any sizing on their shoulder/ elbow armour, so will have to dig around.

Re sizing:
H W
Shoulders -24x 19cm

Elbows -35.5x 24.4cm

Back - 52 x (41/29/43) cm

all measurements approximate!

Any suggestions gratefully received...

Go onto Sportsbikeshop website and ssarch for d3o , gives all manufacturers using it , pictures of the shapes and sizes

Thanks Neil,

I have looked there and they do have some sizes for back protectors (but not all). They don't seam to hold measurements of elbow/ shoulder pads.

I have ordered some so will see how it goes..

PS for the record, I have a Rallye 3 jacket - not 2 as the title !! I blame my fat fingers!!

Thanks Victor,
Thats a lot of info... I'm leaning towards some Rukka D30 XTR and may need to do some jiggery pokery to the pockets - watch this space!

Victor's link is over 30+ pages and is a very interesting read.

If you want to cut to the chase though, some of the best info is here:

https://www.mcgearhub.com/motorcycl...or-top-motorcycle-protectors-reviews-updated/

it gives pros/cons/ measurements of the best gear around. They have done a great job.

Good find Zappa. I replaced the factory armour in my Halvarssons jacket and pants last year, with their new lightweight level two protectors. It made a massive difference to the comfort.
