I've recently bought a gorgeous drool-inducing blue/white 1150GS.
I know some silly speed queens will tell me that silver bikes go faster .. or was that black bikes? .. or perhaps it was mandarin bikes .....
Anyway, whatever the colour of the bike the headlights are shocking. Having just come from a Honda Blackbird whose headlights can illuminate the moon, I was not prepared for how dim/dismal the BMW units are. It does strike me as odd that in this day and age, when Honda can fit lights to the VFR and Blackbird that can light up the next county, that BMW cannot design/fit decent lights.
I am aware after searching the WWW that a number of companies manufacture lighting units that can either augment or replace the BMW fitments.
I'd be very grateful if anyone who has experience with this aspect can give me advice. Idealy, I'd like to know who makes the best fitments, which are easiest (and neatest) to fit, and which provide best value for money.
As the bike is new to me, albeit with 2700 miles on it, I'm afraid that I might be making a nuisance of myself as I ask for advice on a range of upgrades/additions to me new baby.
(Why blue/white, you ask? Well, it stems back to my K100RSSE from 1990 which was a delectable deep metallic blue/ pearl white. Anyway, my R90S is orange, so I didn't want another bike that sort of colour. They'd clash when viewed in the garage).
