I recently got hold of a 2nd hand Quest which came with Europe V6.

I now have a few spare pennies and want to upgrade to V8 and was wondering what is the best/cheapest way to do it :nenau

I've just come accross this on ebay. Unopened and unlocked for £75, does that sound ok and is there anything I need to be aware of / look out for?

Many thanks

This software is MetroGuide ! it is unlocked because it is not autoroutable on a gps device just the PC.If you contact Garmin and explain you may get the City Navigator DVD for around £45

You realise it's MetroGuide Europe V8, right? Maybe PanEuropean might know if there's a difference between this and City Navigator Europe.

I assume there is no way of hard-coding these copies to US GPSRs, but it might be worth asking Garmin.

Well, his history is very good, and it's all GPS-related auctions so the seller seems bona-fide...

Oops, someone beat me to it!

Thanks for the speedy replies guys - as a result I've just ordered a V8 (City Select!) disc from Garmin which should be with me tomorrow :thumb

Then it should just be a case of obtaining an unlock code from the Garmin site for $78 (£48ish) which sounds quite reasonable.

Cheers
Andres
