After a bit of kerfuffle going backwards and forwards to my email, the Garmin Update site (you have to go to mapsource update even though you're trying to update City Navigator
) I finally got V7.00 installed and working.
Then when tryiung to upload a new mapset so the Quest itself had v.7 rather than v6 on it, mapsource kept crashing with an error message.
I tried it three or four times and even locked my Interbnet con so I could disable my virus checker, all to no avail.
Finallly I called Garmin Europe (01794 519944) and they had me rebuild the map index from the v.7 install wizard (start, mapsource, install x product).
You do that by selecting the 'repair' option....it takes some time and some disk shuffling, but now the mapset is uploading to the Quest nicely.
HTH if you have a problem.
(PS also see seperate thread on 'unlocking Quest', which happened each time the upload failed but is in a stand-alone thread for obvious reasons)
