Urgent. 550 power supply

This is a little urgent as we are currently touring Spain. Satnav has worked perfectly until there was a real soaking. Now it will not recharge or take power from the cradle. It also does not power up when the ignition is switched on. I have tried drying all connections but no success. Ant ideas? Picos tomorrow so I would like to get it working again. Thanks in advance.

does it power on at all??? if not try take the battery out for about 10 mins.... assuming u have the routes backed up onto an sd card just incase.

Sounds like what happened to mine - the soaking is probably irrelevant - there's a known fault with the power cable and Garmin replace it FOC - not much help while you're in Spain BUT they have been known to dispatch parts to people in need so maybe give them a call in the morning:

check the contacs on the zumo

On mine the power pin on the cradle made a tiny hole through the copper contact on the zumo so it stopped charging and turning on automaticaly. I managed to bodge some solder on it to get me home. Also make sure you put some WD on the pins as this has sorted probs before.
