No 'High End' goods manufacturer will supply you with the goods to sell cheaply. Why not? To do so would destroy the 'High End' value at a stroke.
Take for example Hermes silk ties. These retail through Hermes own shops and other 'High End' retail outlets for say £140 a tie. Hermes will not supply you with 1, 10 or 10,000 ties to bang out from your warehouse or mum's front room for £40 over the internet.... No matter how hard you try to convince them it's a brilliant business plan.
Of course some bulked 'High End' bike gear does get sold on at a significant discount out of the electronic version of the 'Back of a lorry'. MCN have sales (if that's the right word) of say a Ruka gear at knockdown bargain prices. More often than not you need to look at the sizes... xxxxs or xxxxxxxl. In short, a bunch of jackets that might fit a garden gnome or one Tosser in a thousand.
You could always try buying bankrupt stock (assuming the 'High End' manufacturer didn't hold title over the goods, they are not stupid these people) or travel the country buying-up end of season ranges to keep in your warehouse until the next time autumn came around. But that's expensive and it takes lots of time.
